Kayes's blinding knock takes Tigers' to 271


Imrul's 144 -- ranks as the second-highest score by a Bangladesh batsman along with Mushfiqur Rahim's 144 against Sri Lanka in the recently concluded Asia Cup, contained 13 fours and six sixes.

Bangladesh lost couple of quick wickets following the 71-run stand between Mithun Ali and Imrul Kayes as the trend of losing two wickets in the same over continued.

 Kyle Jarvis came into the attack and pick up three wickets -- Mithun and Mahmudullah Riyad in the same over, before taking the scalp of Mehedi Miraz on the next over.



Bangladesh also lost two early wickets as debutant  Fazle Rabbi went for a duck after the loss of Liton Das, who fell in the same over off the bowling of Tendai Chatara.


  Following some recovery work


 Following some recovery work, Mushfiqur Rahim, who had contributed with a 49-run third-wicket stand fell in the 15th over.



Imrul was the sole voice of hope throughout the innings. Following his ton off 121 deliveries, he scored the next 44 runs in just 19 deliveries as Tigers accelerated run-making in the death overs.
